Course Description
This course introduces the mathematical techniques used to represent and analyze the time-dependent behavior of complex physical systems. The curriculum focuses on developing state-space models and transfer functions for mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems. Students learn to use computational tools like MATLAB/Simulink to perform numerical simulations and observe system responses to various inputs. The course emphasizes stability analysis, linearization of non-linear systems, and the validation of models against real-world data. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of creating accurate virtual prototypes, allowing them to optimize system performance and predict dynamic interactions before physical implementation, which is essential for advanced control and robotics.
