Course Description
This course focuses on the theoretical and practical foundations necessary for teaching biology in secondary schools in accordance with modern educational standards. Students examine biology curricula and content frameworks, learn principles of lesson planning, and practice selecting age-appropriate teaching methods and strategies. The course covers the design and implementation of laboratory and practical activities, the development of assessment tools, and effective approaches to evaluating student learning.
Students also explore opportunities for interdisciplinary integration and learn to apply innovative instructional technologies, ICT tools, and creative pedagogical approaches in the biology classroom. The aim of the course is to develop methodological knowledge and skills that enable future teachers to deliver effective biology instruction, foster students’ scientific worldview, and promote critical and creative thinking throughout the learning process.
