Course Description

This course is aimed at developing professional teaching skills, methodological thinking, and pedagogical approaches among future teachers and performer-pedagogues specializing in instrumental performance. Within the course framework, students study the fundamental principles of teaching instrumental performance, stage-based instructional systems, and methods for organizing individual and group lessons.

During the instructional process, methodological approaches to teaching performance techniques across various instrument groups are examined, including strategies for beginner, intermediate, and advanced (specialization-level) instruction. Particular attention is given to the planning of technical exercises, repertoire selection, and mechanisms of pedagogical supervision and assessment.

In addition, the course analyzes teaching strategies tailored to students’ age-related and psychological characteristics, the effective organization of the practice process, and motivational methods that enhance learning outcomes.
