On February 11, 2026, the official opening ceremony of the “Seminar on the Development of the Nursing Curriculum” was held at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Qarabağ University.

The seminar was formally opened by the Rector of Qarabağ University, Shahin Bayramov, and the Dean of the Faculty, Samir Babayev. In their opening remarks, the speakers highlighted key priorities in the development of nursing education in Azerbaijan, with particular emphasis on competency-based education and interprofessional integration within modern healthcare systems.

Over the course of three days, the seminar focused on developing the conceptual framework for the second year of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, refining block structures, and aligning teaching and assessment models.

This initiative supports the development of a modern, evidence-based, and community-oriented nursing education model aligned with international standards at Qarabağ University.
