Interprofessional education (IPE)

Interprofessional education is one of the core teaching approaches implemented at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of Qarabağ University. Within this model, students begin learning together from the first year alongside peers from different healthcare disciplines.

Students representing medicine, nursing, dentistry, and pharmacy come together in a shared learning environment, allowing them to better understand each other’s professional roles and responsibilities.

This approach enables students to develop essential skills such as teamwork, effective communication, and collaborative decision-making. As a result, they are better prepared for the team-based structure of real hospitals and clinical settings from an early stage.

Interprofessional education plays a key role in building a collaborative, patient-centered approach, which is fundamental to delivering high-quality healthcare in modern systems.
