Background

Nijat Gasim - PhD in Economics, is a Senior Lecturer in Biostatistics and Econometrics at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of Qarabağ University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economic Cybernetics from Baku State University and later completed both his master’s and doctoral studies in Econometrics at Dokuz Eylül University.

His academic and research work focuses on applied econometrics and statistical modeling. His areas of expertise include linear and nonlinear time series analysis, panel data econometrics, and empirical studies of macroeconomic and financial processes. In addition, his research interests extend to energy and environmental economics, health economics, and the application of statistical and econometric methods in biostatistics and medical data analysis.

Dr. Gasim’s work also involves statistical analysis of demographic and socio-economic indicators, contributing to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of economics, statistics, and health sciences.
