Background
Prof. Mehmet Akman is an internationally recognized expert in primary health care and family medicine and a professor contributing to the academic development of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Qarabağ University.
Throughout his career, he has served as a professor of family medicine and primary care at several universities in Türkiye. His academic work focuses on strengthening primary health care systems, improving health service delivery, and advancing competency-based medical education models.
Prof. Akman’s work spans clinical practice, medical education, health policy, and international collaboration. He has participated in numerous international medical education and health systems research initiatives and has authored a large number of scientific publications, book chapters, and academic reports in the field of primary care and family medicine.
