Hikmat Mammadov
Background
Hikmat Mammadov - PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Biochemistry at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of Qarabağ University. He completed his medical education at Azerbaijan Medical University and continued his academic and research training in medical biochemistry at Atatürk University and Ege University.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Mammadov has worked as a researcher and lecturer at the medical faculties of Atatürk University and Ege University. His research focuses on the diagnosis of rare diseases, lysosomal storage disorders, cancer research using cell culture models, and clinical laboratory diagnostics utilizing LC–MS/MS technology.
In addition, Dr. Mammadov conducts research on the role of natural bioactive compounds in cancer prevention and treatment, particularly investigating the biochemical mechanisms of natural substances such as propolis and plant-derived flavonoids in cancer cell apoptosis and anti-angiogenic activity.
