Background
Gunel Sadikhova - is an obstetrician–gynecologist and Lecturer at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of Qarabağ University. She also serves as the Coordinator of the Arts & Humanities Track within the medical curriculum.
She received her medical degree from Azerbaijan Medical University and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Gazi University in Ankara. Her clinical and academic interests include evidence-based management of high-risk pregnancies, optimization of maternal and perinatal outcomes, minimally invasive gynecological surgery, early diagnosis of cervical pathologies, and reproductive health.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sadikhova is actively engaged in research on the integration of Arts and Humanities into medical education. Her work focuses on professional identity formation in physicians, curriculum development incorporating humanities, and educational models that promote empathy and patient-centered care.
