Background

Emil Mukhtarov - is a specialist urologist and academic staff member at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of Qarabağ University, where he serves as the Program Director of the Medical Program.

He graduated with honors from Azerbaijan Medical University in 1996 and later earned his PhD in Medical Sciences in 2003. Early in his career, he worked as a research fellow and later as a teaching assistant at Azerbaijan Medical University.

Between 2003 and 2008, Dr. Mukhtarov completed his specialization in Urology at Ege University Faculty of Medicine (Türkiye). He subsequently worked as a urologist specializing in andrology and urologic oncology in several medical institutions from 2009 to 2014 while continuing his academic and educational activities.

Dr. Mukhtarov has held leadership roles in various healthcare institutions and has actively contributed to medical education and residency training. From 2019 to 2020, he worked in Saudi Arabia as a consultant urologist, participating in the training of medical residents.

He currently serves as Vice President of the Society of Minimally Invasive Surgeons and is a member of several national and international professional medical organizations. Dr. Mukhtarov is also the author of methodological guidelines and medical innovation proposals.
