Course Description
This course introduces mathematical concepts and methods used in the analysis of geographical processes and spatial phenomena. Students gain an understanding of mathematical modeling, statistical methods, linear and nonlinear functions, elements of differential and integral calculus, and basic concepts of probability and correlation. The course emphasizes the application of mathematical approaches to the analysis of geographical data, enabling students to calculate spatial and temporal variations and explain geographical patterns and relationships using quantitative tools. Designed for future geography teachers, the course strengthens mathematical foundations and supports the effective use of quantitative methods in educational practice and scientific research.
