Course Description
This course is designed for students in music education to develop professional performance skills on a selected main musical instrument (European or folk instruments). The teaching process focuses on the instrument's technical capabilities, performance techniques, correct fingerings, sound production, articulation, and dynamics. The course ensures that future music teachers demonstrate high-quality instrumental performance in general education schools. Work on the repertoire, performance of folk and classical music, develops artistic expression, intonation accuracy, and rhythmic stability. Additionally, the course provides a foundation for pedagogical accompaniment, presenting musical material live, and fostering students' interest in music. Thus, the Main Musical Instrument course plays a central role in the professional development of music teachers both as performers and educators.
