Course Description
This course focuses on the comprehensive study of landscapes as integrated natural and human-influenced systems. Students examine the structure, dynamics, and evolution of landscapes through the interaction of geological, geomorphological, climatic, hydrological, soil, and biological factors. The course introduces landscape classification and regionalization approaches, as well as methods of landscape analysis and interpretation. Special attention is given to cultural landscapes, human land-use patterns, and landscape transformation under economic development and urbanization. Environmental protection, landscape planning, and sustainable land management are explored as applied dimensions of the discipline. By the end of the course, students develop analytical skills to evaluate landscape change, identify environmental risks, and apply landscape-based thinking to geography education and spatial planning.
