[RIM 323] Introduction to Harmonic Analysis
Instruction Language
Azerbaijani
Course Type
Elective - Block 2
Course Description
This course explores the representation of functions and signals through the superposition of basic waves, focusing on Fourier series and Fourier transforms. The curriculum covers the convergence of Fourier series, Hilbert spaces, and the properties of orthonormal systems. Students investigate the Fourier transform on Euclidean spaces, convolution operations, and the Schwartz space of rapidly decreasing functions. The course emphasizes the uncertainty principle and its applications in signal processing and quantum mechanics. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of analyzing periodic and non-periodic phenomena in the frequency domain, providing the analytical rigor necessary for advanced research in communication theory, image reconstruction, and partial differential equations.
