[RIM 322] Introduction to Fuzzy Mathematics
Instruction Language
Azerbaijani
Course Type
Elective - Block 2
Course Description
This course introduces the mathematical framework for modeling vagueness and imprecise information, moving beyond traditional binary logic. The curriculum focuses on fuzzy set theory, membership functions, and fuzzy relations. Students explore fuzzy logic operations, linguistic variables, and the construction of fuzzy inference systems (FIS) such as Mamdani and Sugeno models. The course emphasizes the application of fuzzy controllers in automated systems, decision-making under uncertainty, and pattern recognition. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of designing intelligent systems that mimic human reasoning to handle real-world complexity where boundaries are not clearly defined, providing a vital tool for advanced control engineering and soft computing.
