Course Type
Elective - Block 3
Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts and techniques of artificial intelligence. The curriculum focuses on intelligent agents, search algorithms (informed and uninformed), and logic-based knowledge representation. Students explore the basics of machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning, as well as probabilistic reasoning using Bayesian networks. The course emphasizes the ethical implications of AI, natural language processing, and computer vision basics. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of designing simple heuristic search models, implementing basic classification algorithms, and understanding the mathematical foundations behind neural networks, providing a vital stepping stone for advanced specialization in robotics, data science, and autonomous systems.
