Course Description
This course examines the infrastructure, protocols, and services that power the modern Internet. The curriculum focuses on the stack of protocols including IPv6, DNS, DHCP, and secure data transmission via SSL/TLS. Students explore client-server architecture, content delivery networks (CDNs), and the implementation of web services and APIs. The course also addresses emerging trends like the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud-based computing models. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of designing and managing scalable internet-based systems while ensuring high availability and robust security across distributed networks.
