Course Description
The International Finance course introduces students to the fundamental concepts and issues of international finance and develops their ability to analyze global financial developments. The course examines the role of international financial institutions, central banks, and multinational corporations, as well as foreign exchange markets and exchange rate regimes.
Students explore theories and methods of exchange rate determination, analyze the balance of payments and international investments, and study the contemporary international monetary system. The course also enables students to understand the impact of major global events on international finance by analyzing key developments, including the global financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.
