Course Description
This course provides an in-depth understanding of global inequalities, social justice, economic progress and sustainable development. Students study the theoretical foundations of international development and how these ideas operate in practice, with attention to the political, economic and social factors behind development processes. The course examines development policies across regions through comparative analysis and evaluates the roles of international organizations, governments and local communities. It also addresses major global issues within the development framework, including poverty, gender inequality, climate change, migration and social inclusion. Students develop the ability to assess the aims and outcomes of development policies, analyze the social and environmental impacts of development projects and build critical and practical thinking for advancing fair and sustainable development.
