Instruction Language
Azerbaijani
Course Type
Elective - Block 5
Course Description
This course focuses on equations in which an unknown function appears under an integral sign, serving as a powerful tool for modeling various physical phenomena. The curriculum covers the classification of Fredholm and Volterra equations of the first and second kinds. Students explore solution techniques such as the method of successive approximations, Neumann series, and the use of resolvent kernels. The course emphasizes the relationship between integral equations and boundary value problems in differential equations, utilizing Green’s functions for transformation. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of applying these methods to solve problems in potential theory, radiative transfer, and elasticity, providing the advanced analytical skills necessary for complex research in mathematical physics and engineering.
