Course Description
This block provides students with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills across various clinical specialties through rotations tailored to their professional interests and career pathways. Throughout the training process, students learn to conduct clinical observations, assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and apply integrated, patient-centered care principles within the primary healthcare framework.
The rotations take place in clinical settings and are designed to strengthen professional, practical, and research competencies. Students develop proficiency in case analysis, data collection and documentation, interprofessional collaboration, and ensuring patient safety.
The rotation sequence consists of two stages:
1. Stage I:
Two-week rotations in:
o Emergency Nursing
o Surgical Nursing
o Psychiatric Nursing
o Pediatric Nursing
2. Stage II:
Two one-week elective rotations selected from:
o Gastroenterology
o Anesthesiology and Resuscitation
o Pulmonology
o Physiotherapy and Medical Rehabilitation
These rotations aim to build students applied clinical skills across multiple domains, reinforce primary-care–oriented approaches, and cultivate a research-informed mindset within real healthcare environments.
Upon completion of the programme, students demonstrate professional competencies in independent patient care, clinical decision-making, teamwork, communication, and community-oriented health promotion within their chosen areas of focus.
