Background

Nurana Mammadova is a legal professional and lecturer. She holds a BA (2016–2020) and MA (2020–2022) in Law from Baku State University.

She has a strong professional background in legal practice, having worked as a leading and senior specialist at the State Social Protection Fund (2020-2022) in the department for court dispute affairs, and later as a court clerk at the Baku Administrative Court (2022-2023). Since 2023, she has been a member of the Azerbaijan Bar Association. Since 2024, she has been affiliated with our university as a lecturer.

Research Interests

Her research focuses on legal theory, the principle of legal certainty, social security law and the implementation of rights in judicial practice. Her work includes studies such as “Legal Bindingness of Security Council Resolutions: Security Council Resolution 853 (1993)”, “Article 9.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On Social Benefits’ in the Context of the Principle of Legal Certainty” and “Survivor’s Pension: Contested Issues in the Realization of Rights and Possible Solutions”.
