Course Description
This block covers functional changes associated with ageing, the management of multimorbidity, and rehabilitation principles for older adults. Students engage in community-based care and social support activities and apply research skills related to healthy ageing and longevity. The curriculum builds on relevant content from Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology, Normal Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Emergency Medical Care, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Child Health and Pediatrics, Obstetrics–Gynecology, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Dermatology–Venereology, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Public Health.
