Course Description
This block covers the major diseases encountered in childhood and their prevention, along with family- and community-based observation, health assessment, data collection, and care activities. It also strengthens community-based research skills in child health. Instruction integrates foundational knowledge from Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology, Normal Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Emergency Medical Care, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Child Health and Pediatrics, Obstetrics–Gynecology, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Dermatology–Venereology, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Public Health.
