Course Description
This block introduces the professional roles, ethical principles, and communication skills essential for nursing practice, while emphasizing the delivery of patient-centered and safe care. Students learn to assess primary healthcare and community health needs and develop introductory research skills. In delivering these competencies, the block draws on relevant knowledge and skills from Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology, Normal Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Emergency Medical Care, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Child Health and Pediatrics, Obstetrics–Gynecology, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Dermatology–Venereology, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Public Health.
