[Block 3.1] Health and Disease: Gastrointestinal Diseases

Course Description
This block focuses on the etiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology and diagnostic methods of diseases of the gastrointestinal system. It develops clinical reasoning skills based on the interpretation of laboratory and imaging findings, as well as competencies in history-taking and physical examination. Through evidence-based analysis and research-oriented learning, the block strengthens scientific thinking and understanding of healthy nutrition and disease prevention at the community level. It draws on knowledge and skills from Gastroenterology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Radiology, Biochemistry and Public Health.
