Course Description
Designed to help students understand the dynamics of contemporary international relations and the multi-layered structure of the global political system, this course brings together major theoretical and practical dimensions of world politics. Students analyze the interaction among states, international organizations, transnational corporations, and non-state actors and examine how globalization, the balance of power, international security, human rights, and climate change shape political realities. The course is grounded in key approaches, including realism, liberalism, constructivism, and postcolonial perspectives, building a critical and systematic lens for evaluating international events. Students explore political, economic, social, and cultural dimensions of global processes and the interaction of ideological and historical factors that influence international relations, gaining the ability to assess global governance models, mechanisms of power distribution and the complex nature of international politics with scholarly rigour.
