Course Description

This course is a fundamental theoretical and practical component of fashion design education, aimed at developing constructive thinking and technological skills ranging from elementary forms to complex garment structures. The primary objective is to enable students to acquire a scientific and practical understanding of the mechanisms of garment construction, taking into account the three-dimensional structure of the human body and the accurate technical representation of clothing forms.
The Garment Construction course develops not only students’ technical pattern-making skills but also their comprehensive understanding of the harmony between form and function, material behavior, and structural relationships. This integrated approach equips graduates with the ability to work confidently with both traditional tailoring techniques and contemporary digital garment construction and production technologies.
