Instruction Language
Azerbaijani
Course Description
This course teaches the fundamental concepts and importance of modeling in analyzing and optimizing complex logistics systems. It covers the classification of models (analytical, simulation, optimization) and the stages of the modeling process, including problem formulation and validation. The curriculum focuses on applying mathematical and statistical methods to solve core logistics problems, such as inventory optimization, facility location (network design), and routing and scheduling (Traveling Salesman Problem). Furthermore, it introduces the use of simulation software and optimization tools for making data-driven strategic and operational decisions. The course develops students' abilities to build, analyze, and interpret logistics models to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve system performance.
