[RIM 451] Fourier Analysis
Instruction Language
Azerbaijani
Course Type
Elective - Block 5
Course Description
This course provides an in-depth study of representing functions and signals as sums of periodic components. The curriculum focuses on Fourier series for periodic signals and the Fourier Transform for non-periodic functions. Students explore key properties such as linearity, time-shifting, and convolution, alongside the critical concept of the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for digital applications. The course emphasizes the transition between the time domain and the frequency domain, enabling the analysis of signal bandwidth and filtering. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of applying these mathematical tools to solve partial differential equations, process digital images, and design communication systems, providing a vital analytical bridge between pure mathematics and practical electrical engineering or acoustics.
