Course Description
This course introduces the fundamental principles of electricity, magnetism, and their application to energy systems and electronic devices. The curriculum focuses on circuit theory, covering Ohm’s and Kirchhoff’s laws, and the analysis of both direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) networks. Students explore the operation of transformers, electric motors, and generators, along with the basics of power distribution. The course emphasizes the use of measuring instruments and safety protocols in laboratory environments. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of analyzing electrical power systems, designing basic circuits, and understanding the conversion of energy, providing a critical foundation for specialized studies in power electronics and telecommunications.
