Course Description
This course serves as the first practical introduction to the civil engineering profession, bridging the gap between classroom theory and field reality. The curriculum focuses on fundamental technical skills, including topographic surveying, soil classification, and the identification of construction materials. Students engage in hands-on activities such as using leveling instruments, inspecting structural components, and observing active construction sites to understand safety protocols and project management. The course emphasizes the development of technical reporting and teamwork within a site environment. By the end of the practice, students will be capable of interpreting basic blueprints and applying foundational engineering principles to real-world site conditions.
