Zamiq Tahmazov
Background
In 2009, Zamig Tahmazov was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Azerbaijani Language, and in 2018, he received the academic title of Associate Professor.
He is currently pursuing doctoral research at the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), where he is working on his dissertation entitled “Expression of Locativity in Language.”
Throughout his academic career, he has taught various courses in Azerbaijani linguistics at the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, the Azerbaijan Teachers’ Institute, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, and the Guba branch of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. His teaching has primarily focused on pedagogical specialties and has included courses such as Business and Academic Communication in Azerbaijani, Speech Culture, Comparative Study of Turkic Languages, Introduction to Linguistics, Modern Azerbaijani Language (Phonetics, Lexicology, Morphology, Syntax), and Historical Grammar of the Azerbaijani Language.
He is the author of more than 50 scientific articles, three monographs, and one research project. His primary research interests center on the grammatical structure of the Azerbaijani and Turkish languages.
