Course Description
This course provides an overview of the principles and practices of inclusive education for learners with diverse learning needs. It examines various exceptionalities, including learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders, and other developmental differences.
Topics include legal and ethical considerations, assessment and identification processes, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and evidence-based instructional strategies. Through case studies and practical applications, the course develops future teachers’ abilities to create supportive and specialized learning environments, differentiate instruction, collaborate with support professionals, and effectively utilize appropriate tools and resources.
This course prepares teachers to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities and learning requirements in inclusive classroom settings.
