Course Description
This course continues the study of the fundamental principles of academic drawing and painting, focusing on form construction, line, volume, light and shadow, proportion, and perspective. It further integrates color theory with practical studio experience to enhance artistic expression.
The primary objective is to strengthen students’ mastery of the scientific and technical foundations of visual arts while supporting the development of individual artistic styles, conceptual thinking, and aesthetic perception. Instruction is organized progressively, beginning with simple geometric forms and advancing toward complex objects, emphasizing structural relationships, light–shadow dynamics, and proportional accuracy.
Students engage in practical exercises across key genres—still life, landscape, portrait, figure drawing, and free composition—developing the ability to depict form, spatial depth, tonal variation, and compositional balance while maintaining both academic accuracy and creative expression.
