Course Description
This course focuses on creating equitable and inclusive learning environments. Students explore diversity through dimensions such as ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, language, and learning needs, gaining awareness of issues related to equity and social justice in education. Topics include culturally responsive teaching, inclusive curriculum design, anti-bias approaches, and strategies for supporting diverse learners in classrooms and schools. Through reflective exercises, case-based learning, and group projects, students develop competencies to recognize inequities, embrace diversity, and foster welcoming, respectful, and empowering learning environments.
