Instruction Language
Azerbaijani
Course Type
Elective - Block 2
Course Description
This course integrates hydrological principles with hydraulic engineering to design infrastructure for water resource management. The curriculum focuses on rainfall-runoff modeling, flood routing, and the design of hydraulic structures such as spillways, culverts, and detention basins. Students learn to use computer modeling software to simulate watershed behavior and urban drainage networks. The course emphasizes risk assessment, ecological impact, and the mitigation of flood-related hazards. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of designing comprehensive systems that balance efficient water conveyance with environmental sustainability and public safety.
