Course Description
This course introduces future teachers to the fundamentals of data science and its application in school education across disciplines. Students learn how to collect, organize, analyze, and visualize data using age-appropriate digital tools and real-world educational datasets. The course emphasizes data literacy, basic statistics, pattern recognition, and ethical use of data in educational contexts. Through hands-on activities and project-based learning, students design classroom tasks and lessons that integrate data science concepts into mathematics, science, and social studies. By the end of the course, students are able to apply data-driven thinking in teaching and support students in developing critical reasoning and evidence-based decision-making skills.
