Course Description
This course explores the processes and algorithms used to discover hidden patterns, correlations, and anomalies within large-scale datasets. The curriculum focuses on the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) process, including data cleaning, transformation, and pattern evaluation. Students investigate association rule mining, advanced clustering techniques, and classification models. The course emphasizes the practical application of algorithms like Apriori and K-Means to real-world business intelligence problems. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of extracting actionable knowledge from structured and unstructured data, providing a critical competitive advantage for data-driven organizations and complex decision-making environments.
