Course Description
This advanced course focuses on the practical application of counselling theories and techniques in diverse psychological contexts. Students develop skills in structuring counselling sessions, setting therapeutic goals and selecting appropriate intervention strategies based on client needs. The course addresses counselling across the lifespan, crisis intervention, stress-related problems, family and relationship issues and adjustment difficulties. Ethical decision-making, supervision and reflective practice are emphasized to support professional growth. By integrating theory with practice, the course prepares students to plan and implement counselling interventions responsibly and effectively in educational, clinical and community settings.
