Course Description

This course is designed to teach the theoretical foundations and practical skills of conducting. It covers basic elements of conducting technique, beat patterns, expressive gestures and facial expressions, musical analysis, and interpretation principles. The theoretical part addresses the structure of orchestras and ensembles, tempo management, dynamics, and articulation. Practical sessions enable students to work with ensembles and orchestras, analyze scores, organize rehearsal processes, and manage performing teams. The course develops musical leadership, responsible decision-making, communication with the collective, and stage behavior skills.
