Course Description
This course explores the principles, protocols, and technologies that enable digital communication between computing devices. The curriculum covers the OSI and TCP/IP reference models, addressing physical layer transmission, data link protocols, and IP addressing. Students study routing and switching algorithms, transport layer reliability, and application layer protocols like HTTP and DNS. The course emphasizes network security, wireless communication, and cloud infrastructure. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of designing, configuring, and troubleshooting local and wide-area networks, ensuring efficient and secure data exchange across global interconnected systems.
