Course Description
This course focuses on using advanced software tools to analyze engineering designs and automate manufacturing processes. The CAE component emphasizes finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to simulate stress, heat transfer, and fluid flow. The CAM part covers the generation of G-codes and toolpaths for CNC machining and 3D printing. Students learn to validate structural integrity and optimize manufacturing efficiency before physical production. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of performing complex engineering simulations and managing the complete digital-to-physical workflow, ensuring high precision and reduced lead times in modern industrial production.
