Course Type
Elective - Block 5
Course Description
This course introduces future teachers to the principles of computational thinking and basic coding skills for use in school education. Students learn how to break down problems, recognize patterns, design algorithms, and apply logical reasoning through hands-on programming activities. The course emphasizes the use of age-appropriate coding platforms and digital tools to support teaching across subjects, particularly in mathematics and science. Through project-based learning, students design simple programs, simulations, and classroom activities that promote creativity, problem-solving, and digital literacy. By the end of the course, students are able to integrate computational thinking and introductory coding into their teaching practice in meaningful and accessible ways.
