Course Description
This course introduces the fundamental principles of data transmission and the architecture of modern communication systems. The curriculum covers analog and digital modulation techniques, including AM, FM, ASK, and PSK, alongside noise analysis and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) optimization. Students explore the role of transmitters, receivers, and transmission media such as fiber optics and wireless channels. The course emphasizes source coding, error detection, and multiplexing methods. By the end of the semester, students will understand the technical foundations of telecommunications, satellite links, and mobile networks, enabling them to design efficient and reliable information exchange systems.
