Course Description
This course develops professional-level skills in reading choral scores and understanding polyphonic music. It covers parallel reading of soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices, rhythmic and intonation accuracy, score analysis, and understanding notation symbols. Students practice reading choral works from different periods and styles, analyzing harmonic (vertical) and melodic (horizontal) development. The course prepares future music teachers and conductors to work effectively with choral scores, analyze voice parts, and guide collective singing in pedagogical settings.
