Course Description

This course is aimed at developing students’ collective performance skills, musical listening culture, and a sense of shared creative responsibility. Throughout the instructional process, students gain practical experience performing in small instrumental or vocal–instrumental ensembles, learning to maintain internal ensemble balance as well as rhythmic and intonational accuracy.

The course fosters leadership skills in ensemble performance, mutual adaptability among performers, and the ability to express musical thinking collectively. By performing works from different historical periods and stylistic traditions, students expand their repertoire knowledge and develop the ability to analyze musical styles comparatively.

During practical sessions, ensemble participants acquire essential skills related to stage behavior, performance ethics, and artistic presentation. The course also strengthens students’ abilities in attentive listening, coordination, and the harmonious construction of musical interaction.

As a result, students master the fundamental principles of ensemble performance and demonstrate creative initiative and responsibility within collective musical activities.
