Course Description
This course is aimed at developing students’ collective performance skills, musical listening culture, and a sense of shared artistic responsibility. Throughout the instructional process, students gain practical experience in performing within small instrumental or vocal–instrumental ensembles, learning to maintain internal ensemble balance, rhythmic precision, and intonational accuracy.
The course fosters leadership skills in ensemble performance, mutual adaptation among performers, and the ability to express musical ideas collectively. By performing works from various historical periods and stylistic traditions, students expand their repertoire knowledge and develop the ability to analyze musical styles comparatively.
During practical sessions, ensemble participants acquire hands-on skills related to stage presence, performance ethics, and artistic presentation. The course also strengthens students’ abilities in active listening, coordination, and the harmonious construction of musical interaction.
As a result, students master the fundamental principles of ensemble performance and demonstrate creative initiative and responsibility within collective musical activities.
