Course Description
This course builds upon foundational calculus by exploring advanced integration techniques and the theory of infinite series. The curriculum covers integration by parts, trigonometric substitution, and partial fractions, alongside the application of integrals to calculate volumes of solids of revolution. Students study sequences, power series, and Taylor and Maclaurin expansions for approximating functions. The course also introduces parametric equations, polar coordinates, and the basics of vector-valued functions. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of solving complex integral problems and analyzing the convergence of series, which are essential for understanding vibrations, fluid flow, and advanced engineering modeling.
