Course Description
This course focuses on the reproductive biology, development, and taxonomy of higher plants. Students study the structure and developmental stages of generative organs—including flowers, fruits, and seeds—as well as various modes of plant reproduction and the processes that contribute to genetic diversity. The course also introduces the biology of higher fungi, covering their structure, physiology, and methods of reproduction. Emphasis is placed on understanding plant and fungal diversity, their ecological roles, and their significance in natural ecosystems and human economic activity. By integrating theoretical knowledge with laboratory experience, the course equips students with the scientific basis necessary for both biological research and effective future teaching.
